ABOUT THE MAIN CHARACTER:
Hildie Buns, the main character in the book series, is based on Anastasia Marie’s real-life dog. Hildie, also known as Hildie Buns, is a little black Chihuahua who was rescued from a dog shelter by Anastasia Marie in 2014. They have been inseparable ever since.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Anastasia Marie was born in Plano, Texas in 1992, but moved to The Woodlands, Texas when she was a young child. After graduating high school, she moved to Denton, Texas and received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. She is currently a first-grade teacher at Gulledge Elementary in Plano, Texas and loves every moment of it. Inspired by Dr. Seuss and her students, Anastasia Marie decided to write The Adventures of Hildie Buns, a book series based on events that impact every child, such as bullying, the first day of school, and making new friends.
